Hotel stay excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast very good and rooms very comfortable. Good value for centrally based hotel. Would recommend and use again.

Stayed one night May 07.

Hotel clean, good location, staff pleasant but clearly harrassed at times (especially room service guy at 11.40pm - taking other orders on his mobile phone in the midst of delivering ours).

Room (431) tiny by any standards. Barely 2 feet clearance around all three sides of the bed. (Example - with someone sitting at the vanity table and their chair fully pulled in, you still needed to climb over the bed to cross to the other side of the room.)

Bathroom minute and very cramped.

From the look of the corridor all rooms on 4th floor seemed to be very similar in size.

Overall I would recommend caution, and would challenge the 5 star rating in the light of the unacceptably small rooms. I accept the hotel has a good location and good facilities, and must say the staff and hotel did nothing "wrong", but compared to other 4 and 5 star hotels I've stayed in in London it is decidedly ordinary in almost every way.

If you get a very good rate (<£100 per night), it's the right location for you and want to use the pool etc. then I'd say it's worth it. But don't expect to feel "special", pampered or have any sense of luxury here. We paid £130 room only and felt disappointed. No better than a run-of-the mill 4 star in my view.

Stayed 1 night late May 2007. Reasonable rate for Sat night of £130. Hotel overall was okay, but really lacked anything "special" that would suggest to me it is a 5 star hotel rather than a good-but-bland 4 star. Room was very small - barely 2 feet clearance around the bed on all three sides - but clean. Both the bath and bathroom absolutely tiny. Design of hotel and appearance of corridors sugest the majority of rooms will be the same size - nowhere near as big as the one pictured on this site. Overall even public areas felt cramped for the size and supposed standard of hotel. The hotel and staff did nothing "wrong" at all, everyone was pleasant and friendly, but to my mind this hotel does not offer a true "5 star" experience in any way, and perhaps this is reflected in the fairly reasonable rates. As long as you are aware of its limitations and accept them before you arrive, you won't be disappointed.

Spent 2 nights here recently. Fab location for the tube (Central & Piccadilly lines), Covent Garden (10 min walk) and Leicester Sq (15 min walk). Staff were pleasant and efficient. The hotel was clean and very well presented. I'm fussy where rooms are concerned and I could not fault this hotel. Would recommend.

Have used this hotel regularly over the last few years.
Great weekend rates - the facilities, standard and location can't be beat for the price!

Somebody...Thank you!We have just experienced a wonderfull weekend in London. The Grange Holborn Hotel in all its glory made it worth it alone. The combination of very good facilities, location and nice weekendprice seems unbeatable. The staff was very nice and serviceminded. The brakfast was delicious, though the waitingline was long.Probably because everyone kewed up 10 min.before closing time. We will certainly come again and next time for 5 days at least!

An excellent hotel, efficiently run. Very nice room, but wondered whether some of the rather stout guests staying at the time got wedged behind the bathroom door.Too many staff in the restaurant at breakfast time trying to whip your plate away before you had finished your last mouthful. Otherwise a really lovely couple of days which we would be happy to repeat at frequent intervals!

I couldn't ask for a better experience in this hotel--this was my first time in london, and I had always been told that the hotel rooms were very small and the staff rude, but the room wasn't any smaller than a room in the US, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I was also impressed with the beautiful decor. Also, if breakfast is included in your room rate, you can get room sevice for your breakfast (for just a small service charge) instead of standing in line downstairs. I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

We stayed at the Grange Holborn for 6 nights in early April 2001. The hotel is in excellent condition (we were told it had only been open approximately 9 months). We had a large room with two queen beds for a rate well below that of a 1-bed room anywhere else in town. For business or families looking for an "American style" hotel, I would suggest the Grange is similar to a Hyatt's or Marriott's... quite nice compared to the standard "cramped" hotels you would expect... and at a much better rate.

The hotel is very near the Holborn station, and we easily walked to Covent Gardens and Chering Cross station several times. Every cab driver in town knew the hotel and how to get us back. The hotel has a health club with an indoor pool (which turned out to be a big hit with the kids). We received a paper each morning. The staff was tremendous, the room was in excellent shape each and every day!!

The concierge easily booked us into the British Airways "Eye" for the very next day (which I suggest is a "must do" event).

The hotel is also near the theater district (and not too far from Leichester Square where you can get discount tickets for most shows), so if you want theater I would strongly recommend the Grange.

I would strongly recommend this hotel for business or holiday!!!
